Ok so the shawl I'm working on is always the most beautiful I've ever done. I dunno why!!
This one is Mystic Light. It is made from hand dyed, handspun (by my own two mitts) tussah silk. It is all in shades of red/orange/pink to try and approximate a really beautiful sunset.
I am so very thrilled with this design. It is absolutely beautiful.
Being Bammers (which isn't easy by the way) I am already worried about whether or not I have enough yarn. The designer said she used approx 710 yds (650m) of yarn. I did figure that I had about 820 yds, so I should be fine, but I am a worrier, so there ya go.
Hey have a nice thursday!

That yarn looks amazing for Mystic Light. I can't wait to see your complete shawl.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous~!!! I mean really beautiful. How awesome to not only to say you knit it but to say you spun the yarn as well. One of these days I'll get my spinning wheel a turnin again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color! shows the pattern really nicely
ReplyDeleteI love the color. So beautiful! I am still waiting for my yarn to arrive. I ordered it a month ago, but since it's coming intn'l, it's taking 4ever.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to watching your progress.
It is beautiful. I was in that Knitalong but I dropped out last week since I still haven't finished SOTSii. It looked a little over my lace knitting skills anyway. I can't wait to see it finished.
