This pile is just about as long as my car (which is not a big car, but still), however it is not as tall as my car. Unfortunately, I need to make another pile that big at least from the rest of the yard!

The socks are going to look great - I like that yarn a lot. Your pile of leaves looks just like our pile of leaves. We don't have the big trees in the yarn, but they are just behind our house.
And no, you don't have a "thick Midwestern accent" - it sounds just like one of my favorite people to talk to.
I like the audio blog. I can click play and they listen while I go over to Ravelry and look a patterns.
