I don't usually mention this, but I am a work at home mom who sells books on Alibris.com and Amazon.com. I hope you are all buying used as much as possible. It's good for the environment and it's good for your pocketbook.
I'm working on another charity afghan and a pair of Regia socks. You just can't beat that yarn with the Kaffe Fassett colorways. I love them and the yarn is nice and springy. I also still need to get the ribbing down on my CPH, but I am trying to focus on the second afghan because I'm under a time crunch if I want to get it in on time.
I'm spinning up a big bunch of Colored BFL. I left it a tiny bit greasy and I'm hoping to get enough for a sweater for the Chief. I'm spinning it up very fine, but the tips were sunburnt blond so there are some small blonde tweedy bits in it. Maybe I'll take a photo of singles one of these days, but right now just spinning and spinning (and picking out nepps, but that's you didnt hear that from me).
I've also almost finished washing up the Finn Fleece. Isn't it beautiful? A nice chocolate brown and the tips have lightened but are not burnt so not brittle.
Oh yeah and I am slowly carding up the Suffolk fleece I got back in February. My goal is two batts a day. It cards up so quickly and easily that it only takes about 15 minutes to just go ahead and get a few done.
Oh and I'm doing some spring cleaning too bit by bit. I guess I am more busy than I thought.

Are you carding by hand or do you have a drumcarder?
ReplyDeleteRegia is one of my favourite yarn brands and I especially like the Kaffe Fasset colourways.
ReplyDeleteHello, I enjoy reading your blog but I can't find a page "About Me" so I don't know your real name - maybe that's the point :)
ReplyDeleteLindy - currently in AZ but planning a move to the Lake MI area of NW MI.
